Ever since I first fell in love with WWII history back at university, I’ve wanted to bring its grit and tension into my own work. For this 3D environment, I imagined slipping below a snow‑packed battlefield into a cramped command post—my little window onto the vast horror above. I hand‑placed every object for character: a battered wooden table heaped with crumpled maps, yellowed dossiers pinned with rusted clips, scuffed crates lined against ice‑rimmed walls.
When I put this scene into motion, I scored it to “Mad World” because that piano’s sad lull perfectly captures the trench’s hush… right before distant explosions and rapid gunfire snap you back to reality. By contrasting those close‑up stills with the thunder of combat, I hope players feel both the claustrophobia of the dugout and the epic scale of winter warfare—proof that even the smallest corner of a battlefield can tell a story.
