Chronicle of Oddities

This is my new project, Chronicle Oddities—a 1930s London curiosities boutique. The shop owner is an avid adventurer who travels the world collecting antiques and medicinal herbs. In his spare time, he enjoys crafting delicate little mechanical toys and studying ancient pharmaceutical texts. He also dreams of exploring the stars, and has built his own armillary sphere and telescope.

Through this project, I learned a great deal about material creation—especially metals, wood, and transparent materials—as well as master material setup and the use of shaders. I’ve also made solid progress in controlling and shaping lighting for an indoor environment.

A huge thank you to my advisor Sergei Panin—he is the best! And thank you to my friends, TTTC, for the support. Creating this piece was both joyful and incredibly stressful; it also helped me realize how much I still need to improve. I’ll keep learning step by step, moving forward!
